The Maryland State Fireman’s Association (MSFA) offers a variety of scholarships to members of the state’s volunteer fire, rescue and EMS service. These programs are awarded through the organization’s scholarship committee.

Applications are typically due on April 15th annually.

The committee is supported by funding from MSFA member companies, Shock Trauma, Jim Deskin’s Family with a scholarship in his memory, Delmarva Power, and Claira Leidly Trauma Injury Foundation.

Funding is provided to both full time and part time students that are members of a Maryland Fire or EMS company and are attending a Maryland college for studies in the Fire or EMS field.
