About the Department

CCVFC provides Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services to the residents of Chesapeake City and the surrounding areas. Currently our company operates two fire stations, Station 2 located at 215 Lock Street (North Side) and Station 12 located at Rt. 213 and Charles Wharton Dr. next to Bohemia High school (South Side). In these stations we house one Rescue, two Engines , two Tankers, Brush Truck, Rescue Boat, and two Ambulances.

Why Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 of Chesapeake City?

We’re looking for bright, hard-working men and women to join the Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 of Chesapeake City, Inc. Becoming a firefighter or EMS provider requires a significant investment in your time . Whether this is your first experience as a member of a fire company or you are a seasoned veteran of the fire service, you will receive the same training on equipment and operational procedures as the other members have received. While the Officers and Training Committee share the responsibility to train you, any member will be glad to answer any questions you might have or help you however possible.
