About the Department

Our department is a 100% volunteer run organization comprised of 4-Engine companies, 1- Tower, 1- Squad, 1- Brush, 1- Boat, 1- HazMat unit, and a special teams unit to cover water rescue or other technical rescue. Our department assists County EMS units when requested or acts as first responder when units area out of the area. There is multiple monthly training opportunities within the department. Our department averages around 900 calls a year leaving plenty of opportunity to run calls as well.

Why Rescue Fire Company?

Our department has a wide variety of memberships covering ages 14 and up. Members can join our Junior/ Junior Cadet program (14-18) and begin to learn the job, gain help with school, and start to form friendships within the department. Members 18 years of age can become Honorary or Pro-Active. Honorary membership is a non firefighting position that will give the same benefits to a member as well as opportunity to attend meetings, fundraisers, or trainings.

Pro-Active members are firefighting members who have not yet met the qualification as set forth by our bylaws. These members will run emergency calls, attend trainings, and assist with other company activities for the good of the department. Active members are firefighting members who have met qualifications as set forth by our bylaws. These members are now eligible to hold office, vote on company matters, and run emergencies. This department offers a lot of opportunities for any age and any skill level, each member is a value to the departments success in their own way.

Other Benefits:

Members have access to TV Lounge, heated/cooled wash bay, game room with pool tables, tax credit if living in city limits, fully operational gym, and unlimited training opportunities
