About the Department

The Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company is located at 13512 1st Street, Queen Anne, Maryland 21657. Our location is just off MD RT-404, a major traffic route through the Eastern Shore to the beaches at Rehoboth Beach, DE and Ocean City, MD. Our first due area includes citizens of Caroline County and Talbot County as well as Queen Anne’s County. The majority of our calls are motor vehicle collisions and BLS emergency medical calls. The surrounding area is basically rural in nature, containing farms, small towns such as Ridgely and Cordova in addition to the Caroline County Seats of Denton, Centreville and the town of Easton.

Why Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company?

Our Company is very small and desperately in need of younger recruits interested starting a career or helping your neighbors. This is a low cost of living area with reasonable land costs and inexpensive housing. The membership is very welcoming to new members and willing to help new recruits learn what’s expected of them. Personal protective gear and firefighter/EMT training is free and provided through the University of Maryland. Tuition assistance is available for members interested in a career in Emergency Management. Dress Uniforms are free to members who have been members for a specified period of time. We run an Engine, Rescue, Firefighting Water Tanker, Brush Truck, Chief Vehicle, Utility Vehicle, Ambulance and All Terrain Vehicle. You will never have a problem getting out on a call if you arrive in time.

Other Benefits:
