About the Department

The PCVFC provides fire protection services to residents of the City of Pocomoke, Worcester County as well as parts of Somerset County. PCVFC was established in 1888 and has been 100% volunteer since it’s inception. PCVFC has memberships for Firefighters, Cadets (14-18) as well as Auxiliary Members. PCVFC Currently operates in a 16,500 sq ft building which was dedicated in 2008. In addition to the main building, the fire house also features an 11,000 sq ft community center which host several events per year.

Why Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company?

The PCVFC and it’s membership are second to none in their commitment to public service. The department is highly revered by the community at large. Members are involved in several local community events such as fire prevention, the Spring/Fall festival, demolition derby, Great Pocomoke Fair as well as several other events. Members also support neighboring departments with events such as the Ocean City Air Show, live fire training’s, etc. In addition to community events, members also share in several member only events to celebrate to camaraderie of the fire service.
