About the Department

Our department provides fire suppression services, Basic Life Support services, and marine emergency services to the citizens that work, live and pass through the Newburg area and its’ surrounding communities. We provide mutual aide support to King George County, VA and St. Mary’s County, MD.

Why Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department?

Our department is a very family oriented group of members that keeps our members engaged. We fill down time with training as well as fun activities for all! Very flexible with duty hours and are willing to offer whatever help and support we can to ensure you succeed as a member of the volunteer Fire/EMS community! We have many positions where no matter what, we can find a spot for you! We have fundraising opportunities for those not wishing to ride, we have an Auxiliary for those wishing to help in other ways, too! We also have many great benefits as a county, such as our Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP), which is a retirement-type system, supplemental personal insurance, and a State Tax deduction program as well!
