About the Department

The Manchester Volunteer Fire Department is a volunteer fire, rescue and EMS department located in northern Carroll County, MD. We have two engine companies, one heavy rescue squad, one ALS transport unit, one BLS transport unit, one brush truck, one utility truck and an ATV unit. We host many fundraisers to generate support funds for the department as well as use those opportunities to interact with our community. We average 500 suppression calls a year and over 1000 EMS calls a year.

Why Manchester Volunteer Fire Department?

We are a family oriented department which is evident in all aspects of our department. We strive to support our membership both new and old alike. We offer training regularly, mentor our new prospective members through their probationary period and use the knowledge and experience of our senior department to train our members to be the best possible firefighters and EMTs possible.
