About the Department

The KQARS is located in Chestertown, Maryland, Serving just shy of 12,000 Citizens. The KQARS employs 3 ALS equipped Ambulances and responds to just shy of 1800 calls a year. The KQARS is the primary transport company in Kent County, working alongside the Kent County Office of Emergency Services. in addition to the 3 Ambulances the KQARS houses 2 boats, a Special operations/MCI trailers and an ATV, as well as 2 BLS Equipped Chase units.

Why Kent/Queen Anne Rescue Squad?

The KQARS is always looking for new members to serve on administrative committees, Community out reach, Fundraising, and people ready to work in the field as ALS or BLS clinicians. The KQARS has room for anyone interested in giving back to the community.
