About the Department

Ferndale Volunteer Fire Company was established in 1942. The station works in partnership with Anne Arundel County Fire Department to provide fire and EMS services to the citizens of Ferndale and surrounding areas.

Throughout the years the county assisted our volunteers by providing 24/7 staffing. In early 2010 career staffing was pulled from station 34. The volunteers stepped up their efforts and provided coverage on a daily basis. At the present time the county provides career personnel to staff the ambulance during weekday business hours.

Why Ferndale Volunteer Fire Company?

Being a fire company that is completely volunteer, we pride ourselves on serving our community. Being located close to major highways and many residential homes, you will get to experience a vast variety of calls under all sorts of conditions. Looking for a fast paced, exciting, and rewarding opportunity? Look no further than the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.
